Kiln Opening 4-27-10

Ooops, LOL….

I know, I know…

I’ve been quiet for a whole TWO WEEKS!  I’ve been busy cranking out customs.  First on the list was a bunch of ACBA (American Cavy Breeders’ Association) awards that I didn’t have a lot of time to do, seeing as how they needed them by the 26th and I didn’t start back in the studio until the 12th.  I didn’t even have time to take pictures of them!  But, I got them shipped out in time.  I also have one more set of bowls cooling in the kiln for another cavy show but that’s not until May 8th so all is good.

Whew!  Now I can concentrate on my other orders.  And maybe spinning a bit on my new spindle I just got myself, heh heh:

You know what they say about all work and no play…. I promise I won’t play for too long though.  I’ve got to get a squid drawn for my old grade school chum Karen, too…

But of course I cannot blog without any pictures at all, so here is a custom mug I did that a good friend in Germany ordered:

Entrants will be notified shortly.  Entrants whose names were NOT drawn will be notified via newsletter, and winners will be notified by email.

If you do not receive notification, you may assume that your name was not drawn- I’m sorry- I only wish there were more time in my schedule to fill ALL of the orders.

How were names chosen?

I printed out all entrants’ names and email addresses and cut them into strips and placed them in a cup:

I then hired a reputable and highly impartial (i.e. “How long will this take?  —– is texting me!”) judge from a well-respected agency (Gonzalez and Family) to draw 25 names from the cup:

Thank you to my new and repeat customers- we received 98 orders in total.  I am so sorry I won’t be able to fill every order that came in- but spring and summer is a busy time for the family and I must make them a priority.  Thank you for your understanding!

If you want to order, please click on “Sign up for customs” at the top of the page and follow the directions below the signup button.

Thank you!

EDITED to ADD:  Today (Thursday morning, 04/08/10) we are up to 70 orders.  You have until midnight tomorrow to get your orders in!
